About Us

Festival Lantern
Festival lanterns beautifully illuminate our traditional Korean colors through the glow of traditional Hanji paper. Through various festival lanterns depicting the lives of our ancestors and their eras, we naturally learn about our historical past. These lanterns are not merely temporary decorations used only for festivals; instead, they vividly embody local legends and stories, visually stimulating our imagination. Thus, numerous forgotten traditions and stories are reborn annually through these lanterns, significantly contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional culture. The highlight of any festival is the light itself, and enhancing this with unique storytelling to enrich the festival is the true role of festival lanterns.

Character Lantern
In modern society, we encounter a wide variety of characters — from heroes and animals to real-life figures and imaginary creations. Character lanterns are artworks that utilize these various characters, making them feel three-dimensional and lifelike. In particular, character lanterns that incorporate traditional elements contribute to the restoration and rediscovery of heritage, serving as a bridge to the creation of new culture. By producing character lanterns from around the world, they have become excellent cultural products that stimulate creativity and serve as a source of inspiration.

Experience Lantern
There is no better form of learning in human life than experience. The process of learning through the body rather than the mind, and with the hands rather than the eyes, has a profound impact on a person’s life. In today’s rapidly changing world, opportunities to directly experience tradition are becoming rare. Experience lanterns — such as fortress lanterns, floating lanterns, foot lanterns, and folding lanterns — are cultural heritage pieces that allow people to make and experience traditional lanterns firsthand. Through this, one can physically learn about Korean identity and enjoyably grasp traditional culture that may have once felt difficult or distant. These bodily experiences become precious assets, and through experience lanterns, we can connect with the past and design a better tomorrow.
